Football Fans,

Its Domestic Cup football that fills our midweek schedule at the Bulldog, with the FA Cup, the Coppa Italia, and the Copa Del Rey supplying us with some great matches Tuesday through Thursday. Manchester City takes on Leicester City in a 3rd round replay on Tuesday, followed by a Spanish cup tie between Sevilla and Villareal (will Altidore feature?). Wednesday we see Arsenal away to a Cup hungry Leeds United, followed by Barcelonas trip to Real Betis for the Copa Del Rey quarterfinal.

Our weekend brings us a massive Saturday, starting early with struggling Wolverhampton hosting Liverpool in the 5:45am slot. A second early match sees Npower Championship sides Derby County facing Nottingham Forest. The 8am slot features undefeated Manchester United facing off against Birmingham, and Arsenal hosting a desperate Wigan side. Aston Villa, who just acquired striker Darren Bent from Sunderland, will be keen to upset Manchester City in the 10:30am fixture. Barcelona lights up the mid day with a 12pm kick off versus Racing Santander, amongst other Serie A and La Liga fixtures. Our highlight match of the day will be the Friendly between USMNT and Chile (8pm KO), to be played at Home Depot Center in California. Four Colorado Rapids players could potentially feature in this match, Jeff Larentowiecz, Matt Pickens, Marvell Wynne, and Anthony Wallace. Good luck to our boys, hope they get their chance to shine for the National Team!

Sunday we will be opening the doors early for the QPR v Coventry match (6:30am). QPR looks well on their way to earning their way back into the Premiership, and once they arrive soccer pundits are expecting a lengthy stay for them. The Blackburn v West Brom fixture immediately follows in the 9am slot. Real Madrid and A.C. Milan follow up versus their respective opponents rounding out the day. Finally we see surprising Bolton hosting Chelsea for the Monday lunchtime fixture. Plenty of great Football on display at the Bulldog this third week of January, looking forward to seeing all of you at the Pub!
