Feature Matches
The Champions League is down to the final eight teams, and the action begins this afternoon with Chelsea taking on Benfica, and Real Madrid facing APOEL.  To compliment these two matches we have two FA Cup 6th round replays airing as well.  Tottenham take on Bolton, while Sunderland host Everton.  Later in the evening the final group stage matches for CONCACAF Olympic qualifying take place.  The United States was eliminated from the tournament last night by a far more hungry and creative El Salvador side.  So, sadly, our side will not get to play in London for the 2012 games.
Wednesday lunchtime has the other two Champions League Quarterfinals, with AC Milan hosting Barcelona, and Marseille facing Bayern Munchen.  Later in the evening you can catch our regional Champions League action, with Toronto FC representing the MLS.
We have loads of great footy on the weekend, with a couple of feature matches to look forward to.  First Portland take on Salt Lake Saturday night at Jeld Wen with an 8pm kickoff.  Salt Lake stumbled at home against Chivas last week, so hopefully their woes continue against the Timbers.  Sunday morning we have an early kickoff (6:30am) as Newcastle face Liverpool.  The Magpies are eight points clear of struggling Liverpool in the table, and this should be a real battle.  Following the early match, the Spurs face Swansea in the 9am slot.  Our match of the day kicks off in the afternoon though.  Our Colorado Rapids are at home against Chicago, with a 5pm kickoff.  The Bulldog Supporters Group will be hosting a tailgate/bus trip for this match, with bus departures at 1:30 & 2:45pm from the Three Lions ( ) .  The team is hoping to bounce back after dropping points to the New York Red Bulls last week, and will need the full support of their fans!
The game week finishes next Monday with Blackburn facing Manchester United at lunchtime, and the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Final at 6pm.  I think there is another game on that night as well, oh yeah, the NCAA Basketball Final.  Come down and get your fill of Fish & Chips for $7.50 all night on Monday, complimented by $5 20oz Fuller's Ales!
On The Horizon
Next week we have the second leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals.  Saturday night our Colorado Rapids face Real Salt Lake in the Rocky mountain Derby, and Sunday morning Arsenal host Manchester City!
