Feature Matches
The League Cup Semifinals kick off our gameweek, with a lunchtime clash both Tuesday and Wednesday.  First up, recently stung Manchester United host relegation plaguedSunderland in the first match of a home and away.  United are looking to right the ship after an early exit from the FA Cup on the weekend, while Sunderland look to build on what is their only bright spot in an otherwise dismal season.  The Black Cats know a good result at home will be crucial to their hopes of advancing to the Final.  In our other Semifinal, powerhouseManchester City host struggling West Ham.  City have been unbeatable at home this season, and will look to take advantage of that terrific home form.  The Hammers, who need to devote most of their energy to surviving in the Prem, will have to keep the scoreline low to have any chance in the second leg.  With their recent form, Manager Sam Allardyce, is clinging to his job by a thread.
In other midweek action, the top two Clubs in Spain have Copa Del Rey Quarterfinalfixtures.  This is a prelude to their big Saturday afternoon match (12pm), when Atletico Madrid battle Barcelona at home.  Winner will go clear at the top of the table in La Liga!  Other matches of note on the weekend include Manchester United trying to avenge their loss to SwanseaNewcastle take on Manchester CityStoke City battle Liverpool, and Arsenal travel to Birmingham to face Aston Villa!
