Feature Matches
It is down to the wire, as the 2013/14 EPL campaign wraps up this week.  Two important midweek clashes are on the books, before we get to Survival Sunday!  At the top of the table Manchester City face Aston Villa, knowing four points out of their last two matches will secure the title for them.  Villa will try to spoil the party, but it will be an uphill battle at the Etihad, where City have been nearly invincible this season.  At the other end of the table, Sunderland are nearly safe from relegation, needing only a draw out of their last two matches to stay up.  They are at home to West Brom midweek, and will look to wrap things up with a match in hand.  If they manage to get the result they are looking for, that leaves only one thing to play for on the final day of 2014, the title.  Assuming City wins against Villa at home, they would need only a draw against visiting West Ham to clinch the title.  Liverpool will have to secure a win against Newcastle to have any hope of the title, and will have to hope for a miracle in the City match.  Needless to say, our two feature matches on the Final Day will be City and Liverpool, with coverage of other games interspersed throughout the Pub!
The title battle in La Liga is a three horse race, with all three sides playing one hour after the conclusion of the EPL season on Sunday morning.  Real Madrid has a very tough test away to Celta Vigo, and they would have to drop points in one of their last three matches to open the door for their rivals.  Barcelona, who are three points adrift of leaders Atletico Madrid, face Elche.  Barca must win, and that will set up a massive final day clash between them and Atleti, with the title possibly on the line.
Our Colorado Rapids are coming off a terrific home win against the L.A. Galaxy, and they have two matches this week against Western Conference rivals.  Wednesday night they head West to face San Jose, with an 8:30pm kick off.  San Jose play a physical game, on what is likely the smallest pitch in MLS.  The two sides recently drew at DSG, in a game mostly dominated by the Rapids.  Join us at the Pub for our away game viewing party, as we cheer our hometown Club on to victory.  Sunday the Rapids return home to face Chivas USA, in an afternoon match (1pm kick off).  Come in for EPL's final match day, and hop one of the supporters buses out to DSG for an epic day of World Football!
On the Horizon
Next week we feature the Europa League Final mid week. The FA Cup and German Cup Finals fall Saturday morning, and the Colorado Rapids take on arch rivals Real Salt Lake Saturday night!  Sunday morning the La Liga title will be decided, with a potentially huge match between Barca and Atleti!
