Feature Matches
The last week in January has some real gems in store for us, starting Tuesday afternoon with Chelsea facing Liverpool in the League Cup Semifinals.  This is leg 2, and the two sides are tied 1-1 on aggregate after the first match.  This fixture kicks off at 12:45pm, and will result in one of these two Clubs being eliminated from the competition!

Wednesday is a football lovers dream!  The action kicks off at 11am with a critical African Cup of Nations fixture, pitting Cameroon against the Ivory Coast.  At 1pm we turn our attention to Spain, as Atletico Madrid and Barcelona clash in Leg 2 of their Copa Del Rey Quarterfinal.  Once again, one of these two sides will be eliminated from the competition!  We wrap up Wednesday's football with a USMNT friendly against Chile, kicking off at 4pm.  This is the first of two friendlies for Klinsmann's winter camp.  Expect to see lots of domestic (MLS) talent here, including Dillon Serna and Shane O'Neill of the Colorado Rapids!

Saturday morning Liverpool v West Ham features at 8am, before our EPL match of the week at 10:30am.  Chelsea take on Manchester City live from Stamford Bridge, in perhaps the most critical match of the campaign for both clubs!  A win for Chelsea, and they give themselves some extra breathing room in their quest for the Premiership title.  A win for City, and the gap at the top is narrowed to only two points.  Expect a knock down drag out from these two heavyweights!

Sunday we start the morning with an Old Firm derby match between Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish cup competition.  Arsenal also kick off against Aston Villa in the early slot, before Southampton battle Swansea at 9am.  A live African Cup of Nations Quarterfinal match kicks off at 9am, before we turn our attention to La Liga and Serie A for the rest of the day.

We wrap the weekend with the Final of the American pointy ended version of the game, kicking off at 4:30pm.

On the Horizon

Next week the African Cup of Nations wraps up, with the Semifinals mid week, and the Finals on the weekend.  FA Cup Fourth Round replays feature mid week, with both Manchester United and Liverpool in action.  On the weekend we have the North London derby, Merseyside derby, and Madrid derby all falling Saturday morning, and the USMNT faces Panama Sunday afternoon.
